types of people join Singles In Motion.
Typically our members are professional people
who are proactive in their social lives but
do not have the time they once had to meet
interesting people. No, our members are not
a bunch of single losers who can’t get a life!
They are fun, outgoing, intelligent and diverse
people who want to enhance the quality of
their lives. Sure, everyone has friends. But
a lot of our members have friends that are
married or maybe just too boring to do the
things they want to do. They are the type
of people who do not want to waste their time
at bars listening to cheesy pickup lines.
They would rather utilize their free time
well and see results!
I'm
shy about meeting new people. Will I fit in?
Singles In Motion is the best way to make friends
without the pressure of dating. Every event
is hosted by our professional event coordinators
who specialize in introducing everyone around
and making them feel like one of the gang.
So whether you're a little shy, a little "out
of practice" at being single or the most outgoing
person in the world – we make sure everyone
is comfortable and has a great time - you'll
feel right at home immediately. Our monthly
"New Member Icebreakers" help everyone get
to know how our club works and make new friends
in no time!
What is the age range of your members?
The majority of our members range in age from 35 to 60 years old. It doesn't mean that we don't have people under 35 or over 60, it just means that is where the majority of our members happen to be. We cater to all ages and different events attract different ages. The symphony may have a different crowd than Cosmic Bowling. Age is relative anyway when it comes to having more fun, isn't it?
Do
members date other members or ever get
married?
Of course! Hundreds of couples have
found each other at Singles In Motion.
Some become friends for a lifetime.
Some become roommates. Some get together
for two and three person bike trips,
kayaking adventures or just to share
a movie. And yes, many members date
one another and marry! It just makes
sense – put fun and interesting people
together – and it is a natural occurrence.
It’s actually more prone to happen because
there is no pressure, it’s not forced
– it just – happens!
Is
Singles In Motion a comfortable place
to be?
It sure is. A ticket for one "ain't much
fun" and most people understand that. Singles In Motion provides a great comfort zone.
The acceptance from their peers that new people
experience when they become a member of Singles In Motion is enough to bring just about anyone
out of their shell. We've watched people go
